At Polegate Equestrian Centre we can design a hack especially for you!

  • A relaxed ride through the bluebells
  • A quiet canter down tree lined trails
  • Popping a few logs in the woods

All hacking is completely off road through Abotts Wood and is suitable for beginners to experienced riders.


Polegate Equestrian Centre is a member of the Trot Toll Ride which provides access to Abotts Wood.

We offer the following hack durations:

  • 1 hour
  • 1.5 hours
  • 2 hours

Pub rides

Pub rides run regularly and last for between 2.5 - 3 hours , hacking is completely off road through Abotts Wood, stopping at The Old Oak Inn for either a quiet drink or pub lunch.

Lead Rein Pony Rides

We offer 20 minute lead rein pony rides on our experienced ponies for children aged over two and a half.
